I've been adding more details to Pottersville these past weeks. Advertisements and power poles.
Also rediscovered an O-Gauge "Hobo Jungle" (Plasticville I think) in the reject box and thought it would add to the junk yard:
Also a bill board for the empty lot:
Had the idea to turn the naff plastic brewery building into a coal merchants. Made the walls from brick sheeting from Model Builder Supply and foam core capped with card stock. The coal bins were match sticks and coffee stirrers glued together and given a brown ink wash. Piles of coal from scrap foam, sand and paint.
Here's the test layout as it is tonight:
Setting out gangs. I could do two mobs of Tong if I wanted and I'm not using all of my cops either. G-Men and Coppers could do with some more shotguns or even a BAR. Gangs could do with more pistol and shotgun armed wiseguys.
But I have more Tommy guns. Oh well.
Sailors on shore leave as a terrain hazard:
Busy streets:
Trial game!
The rules are pretty straightforward. Especially once I have a few more games under my belt.
I'm planning something for up to 8 players for KEGSCON in September. Hopefully I can come up with eight conflicting and overlapping objectives to create uncertain alliances, bribery, deceit and a big shoot out!

The town is really coming together!
ReplyDeleteThe town looks great. Your additions since your last post really add atmosphere- I especially like the cafe patio with table and chairs.
ReplyDeleteThe table and chairs are from Steve Barber along with the grungier trash cans, street lights and a bunch of the figures (G-Men cops gangsters and civilians)
DeleteNice work! The little details really add to the scene.
