Geekery

"Oi! Boz! Eyz got a bone ta pick wich ya!"

Razgul stomped onto the painting blotter, bumping into an Austrian Fusilier. "Wotcher fancy pants!"

He glared up at me, iron shod boots planted apart, hand on his scimitar.

"Good evening, Razgul! What would you like to discuss?" I replied while cleaning my brush. This would take a while.

"Dat last battle was a feckin' shambles it was!"

"It was pretty bloody, I agree."

Razgul sneered sidelong at me. "Ey noticed dem stunties rollin' fancy dice, dey was. It wuz cheatin'!" He shook his clawed hand in orcish outrage.

"Your arrow did kill the Dwarf king, so...."

Razgul grinned. "Yeah, dat waz a gud'un! But da fancy ladz wif da big choppas all karked it!"

I shrugged. "It was their first battle. New Unit Curse and all that." I gave him my best 'really there isn't anything I can do' look as deployed by maitre'ds and hotel front desks everywhere.

"But why don't us ladz git fancy dize, too?"

I laughed gently. "Well, it would have been nice if these had arrived last week but here you go." I put a bag of new d6s on the table. "Everyone gets fancy dice now!"

The Nazgûl glided over, sending a chill down my spine. It reached towards the gold dice with the One Ring's inscription, drawn towards it by unseen powers. "Yes. Yesss. Baggins. Shire." It hissed.

I nudged the gold dice away and rolled a dozen black dice with The Eye emblazoned on them. "See? Just like your shield. "

Razgul looked at them approvingly. "Now dat's more like it!"

Razgul approves

"So Boz, when's da rematch?"

Even the Rohirrim get special dice now, because why not?

Dice for everybody!

Since the armies get big sometimes and I like to give each player a set of dice, a couple of sets for Evil and more for Good seemed appropriate.

I can still deploy standard red and black for Evil and white and blue for Good if I need more. Because, yes I'm a geek that way. I like colour coordinated dice.

I got the dice from here.
